American Financial Solutions Recognized with Awards of Excellence

AFS Receives Two Awards of Excellence

The National Foundation for Credit Counseling® (NFCC®) proudly honored six individuals and an NFCC Member agency for their accomplishments in pursuit of excellence and promotion of consumer financial health. The awardees were announced at the NFCC's Awards of Excellence presentation, which was streamed live on November 18th.

American Financial Solutions is thrilled to have been recognized for an award in two categories: Credit Counselor of the Year and Agency Innovation. Certified Credit Counselor Lara Ceccarelli received the distinguished honor of being the Credit Counselor of the Year. Lara, also a mentor for her teammates, shared her mission for counseling, “In a world where it can be hard to know who to trust with your finances, I am very proud to be an ally to clients and to be working for their best interests and to find them workable, actionable solutions.”

American Financial Solutions’ support of Native American Tribes in Washington State received the Agency Innovation Award.” We are proud of the relationships we have built with tribes and tribal agencies over the years and continue to develop. Washington state is home to 29 recognized, Native American Tribes that are very diverse with many economic pressures. Our goal is to support communities with financial tools and information that meet their unique situations. These are partnerships,” said AFS President Cindy Seremek.  

 "Our 2021 award winners have overwhelmingly demonstrated what can be accomplished when we strive to do our best despite the challenges that lay before us.  Each recipient is a reflection of the core values shared by all NFCC Members and the people they serve as they work towards their financial goals and dreams," said Bruce McClary, NFCC Senior Vice President of Membership and Communications, in a press release distributed Thursday.
