HUD-Approved Housing Counseling in Washington State
American Financial Solutions is a sub-grantee of the Washington State Houisng Finance Committee, a HUD-approved housing counseling agency. In this capacity, we provide both pre-purchase and forclosure intervention counseling to residents of Washington State. Certified Housing Counselors can be contacted at (888) 864-8699 Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm Pacific Time or by appointment.

Call (800) 569-4287 or TDD (800) 877-8339 for the HUD-approved housing counseling agency nearest you. These agencies are valuable resources. They frequently have information on services and programs offered by Government agencies as well as private and community organizations that could help you. The housing counseling agency may also offer credit counseling.
Foreclosure Intervention
Most homeowner loans are through either Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac. Both offer programs for people in default. Some programs include: rate reductions, term extensions or partially reduced payments for up to 18 months. We encourage homeowners to engage the assistance of a housing counselor.
