Post-Bankruptcy Education. AFS provides Bankruptcy Pre-discharge Debtor Education. AFS is approved* to provide Bankruptcy Pre-discharge Debtor Education. To enroll, please read the disclosures on this page and check the
box at the bottom of this page verifying you have read them. If you are able to
pay by debit card, please click on the Money in Motion Button to access
the course.
If you cannot pay by debit card, you will need to contact our agency at 800-894-7240. AFS will confirm your need for this service, determine your preference for method payment and provide you with the information you need to access the Debtor Education via the internet.

To help cover the cost of providing this session to you, there is a fee of $30 per individual or per married couple (debit cards, or money orders will be accepted.) Fees paid are non-refundable. In certain circumstances services are available for free or at a reduced rate, based on your ability to pay. This agency utilizes the 2010 HHS Poverty Guidelines. Please contact our office if you have any questions on our fee waiver policy at 800-894-7240.
Our Financial Education teachers are Certified Credit Counselors, certified by the Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education (AFCPE). They have between 7 and 13 years of experience teaching financial literacy. They are required to complete 15 hours of continuing education every 24 months.
American Financial Solutions does not pay or receive fees or other consideration for the referral of debtor students.
The course will take 2 hours to complete and you may leave and return to the place where you left off if needed. Upon completion of the full 120 minute course, we will provide you with an official Certificate from the Executive Offices of the United States Trustee within three business days.
