Please review and accept the disclosures outlined below:
To help cover the cost of providing this session to you, there is a fee of $30 per individual or, per married couple filing jointly, (debit cards, or money orders will be accepted.) Fees paid are non-refundable. In certain circumstances services are available for free or at a reduced rate, based on your ability to pay. This agency utilizes the 2012 HHS Poverty Guidelines. Please contact our office if you have any questions on our fee waiver policy or if you cannot pay by debit card by calling 800-894-7240.
If you are a married couple filing a joint bankruptcy, you may register for the course together. You will receive separate USER ID’s and Passwords, and each of you must individually complete the required education course in its entirety.
Our Financial Education teachers are Certified Credit Counselors, certified by the Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education (AFCPE). They have over 10 years of experience teaching financial literacy. They are required to complete 15 hours of continuing education every 24 months.
American Financial Solutions does not pay or receive fees or other consideration for the referral of debtor students.
As required by Federal Law, each person filing must spend a minimum of 120 minutes taking the course, and the course must be completed. Upon completion of the course, we will provide you with an official Certificate from the Executive Offices of the United States Trustee within three business days.
AFS provides Bankruptcy Pre-Discharge Debtor Education. Approval does not endorse or assure the quality of an Agency’s services.
