OFFICERS
Henry F. Keaton, President and CEO
Mr. Keaton joined American Financial Solutions (AFS) as President and CEO in 2005. Under his leadership, the Seattle-based organization has expanded its services to 42 states and the District of Columbia and has developed key infrastructure operations to create superior client and creditor services. AFS provides a broad range of financial education resources and expanded counseling services, including HUD approved foreclosure and reverse mortgage counseling as well as pre-bankruptcy counseling. Prior to joining American Financial Solutions, Mr. Keaton was the Executive Director of the Dispute Resolution Center of Kitsap County. His career includes 20 years experience in executive level management in the health insurance and managed care industry with companies including Aetna, Prudential, and The Travelers. Mr. Keaton also served the health care industry for ten years as a management consultant with Booz, Allen Hamilton and as Vice President of the Chicago Hospital Council.
Mr. Keaton is a Trustee of the Association of Independent Consumer Credit Counseling Agencies (AICCCA).
A Certified Mediator, Mr. Keaton has also served as a member of the Dispute Resolution Section of the Washington State Bar Association, a member of the Washington Mediation Association, Membership Secretary of Resolution Washington and on the Board of Directors for Helpline House.
Mr. Keaton earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His post-graduate studies were at DePaul University in Chicago.
Cindy R. Seremek, CPA, Treasurer and CFO
Ms. Seremek joined American Financial Solutions as Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer in May 2004. Her prior positions include senior business consulting and management as a Senior Audit Manager with the accounting firm Grant Thornton, LLP, where she worked with a variety of publicly and privately held manufacturing, distribution, real estate and not-for-profit organizations. Prior to joining American Financial Solutions, she was the Vice President of Finance for a venture capital firm specializing in companies that develop Internet applications, where she oversaw the accounting functions and financial reporting for twelve companies. Her responsibilities at American Financial Solutions include management of the financial and compliance staff, accounting, financial reporting, treasury functions, budgeting, business modeling and forecasting.
Ms. Seremek is a member and Past Chairman of the Not-for-Profit Committee of the Washington Society of CPAs. She is also a member of the American Institute of CPAs and has served on several community boards including Soroptimist International and Food Lifeline.
Ms. Seremek earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Montana State University.
