American Financial Solutions’ home office is in Washington State, where we are active in our local community. American Financial Solutions is a division of the North Seattle Community College Foundation, a non-profit (tax-exempt) organization. We redirect a portion of our proceeds to the Foundation which provides funds for student scholarships, faculty grants and other academic programs. Our employees are active in local fundraising, charitable and civic events.

New Credit Card Rules Today; What it means for You

On Monday, February 22, 2010, the long awaited Credit Card Accountability Responsibility and Disclosure Act of 2009 (CARD Act) goes into effect. As a consumer, this is GREAT news. Save Money Now and In the Future on Student Loans

If you have student loans, now is the time to evaluate your loan program and look for options to save money right away and in the future. Two cost savings provisions of the College Cost Reduction and Access Act went into effect July 1, 2009 and are helping many people cut the cost of loan payments now, and plan for eliminating student loan debt in the future.

New Rules Governing Credit Terms Go Into Effect This Month

Under the new protections, consumers will have to be more than 60 days behind on payments before credit-card companies can raise interest rates on balances. And, credit-card companies will have to revert to previous, lower rates if consumers pay minimum balances on time for six months.
